Description
The Pneumatic Hoist Workshop Pack contains all the parts needed to build ten working hoists. The models are simple to build and an ideal demonstration of a working pneumatic system. The hoist is a simple machine that incorporates hinges and levers and demonstrates how machines alter the forces applied to them to do useful work. The models also demonstrate that air, though invisible, is a substance and can be used to transmit force and make things move. The workshop pack can be used as the focus of a STEM activity and is also ideal as the basis of a DT project where the models can be assembled and evaluated and then extended into a full design and make task. The kit includes 100+ parts and is complete with teachers notes and assembly instructions. Ages 8 -12 years.
